Spirit, not looking to others to meet their needs. Instead, they
created their own municipal power company! Over the years, it has prospered
to having three power plants, over twenty substations, hundreds of miles
of distribution and transmission lines and combined billing for your
electric, water, sewer, storm water and solid waste fees in Lubbock.

In 2004, the citizens of Lubbock reaffirmed their original intentions
though an election when over 83% of voters supported the continued
prosperity under citizen control of Lubbock Power & Light. |
