LP&L’s Response to COVID-19
LP&L is actively monitoring COVID-19 news and developments and have already taken steps to protect the safety and wellbeing of our community, customers and employees. We’re committed to continue delivering reliable power to you. Our lineman and field service crews are still hard at work and available to help meet your electric needs.
We know this is a very difficult time for many, and have worked closely with City of Lubbock Utilities to suspend late fees and electric service disconnects for non-payment to assist customers who may be experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. We know just how important it is for our customers, including medical facilities, testing centers, grocery stores and other vital public services to have reliable power.
Our crews will continue to respond to outages and requests in a safe and efficient manner. We’re monitoring our service area closely and are prepared to respond to any emergencies as usual.

We are adjusting our field operations in order to meet the daily challenges of providing reliable electricity while keeping with CDC-recommended distance guidelines and adhering to field safety requirements.
