How do I sign up for commercial service?

New customers can fill out our Commercial Move-In form or call (806) 775-2509 to set up service.

How long does it take to get services turned on?

LP&L makes every effort to provide service on the same day it is requested. However, there are exceptions to same-day service due to equipment requirements, accessibility to the property or various other reasons.

Is there a deposit required to start electric service?

What is LP&L's cost per kilowatt hour for a commercial customer?

Where are the authorized payment centers?

Customers can pay their bill in person at our downtown office located at 1301 Broadway, or at many Western Union locations around Lubbock. Click here for the authorized payment centers.

Can I pay with a debit or credit card?

Yes, payments can be made using a debit or credit card online using the LP&L My Account website or by calling (806) 775-3409.

How long does it take to post payments?

All payments are posted immediately upon receipt. Night drop payments received at the Main Office after 4 p.m. are posted the following business day.

What are the delinquency fees assessed on past due accounts?

Past due accounts accrue a delinquency fee equal to 5% of the unpaid balance.

Does LP&L charge a fee for checks returned for insufficient funds?

Yes, there is a $30 fee for all returned checks.

Can you change my billing date? Due date? Late charge date?

LP&L is not able to change the date your meter is read due to the geographical nature of this process. The bill due date and late charge date are dependent on the billing date, and as a result of that process, cannot be changed.
